Research Interests

Biological Inorganic Chemistry, Chemical Biology

1. Design and construction of fluorescent biosensors and molecular logic gate, based on nucleic acid aptamer, antibody / antigen, combined with quantum dots, graphene nano materials, targeting to the applications of clinical diagnosis, environmental monitoring and food safety control;

2. Innovative stratagem for searching molecular architecture of tau aggregation inhibitor, screening lead compounds for the therapy of Alzheimer’s disease (AD). Natural products and their derivatives were introduced as the references that integrates tau binding properties and inhibitory effects. A two-side recognition, hairpin-like molecular framework was suggested by us;

3. Rational design and synthesis of novel Ruthenium complex as the molecular probe for protein conformation alteration and genetic variation. Exploring the interaction of metal complexes with disease-related proteins / nucleic acids, revealing the pathogenic mechanisms of diseases such as AD and cancer, at molecular level.
