On January 9, 2025, Clarivate Analytics released the latest Essential Science Indicators (ESI) rankings.

The data shows that Tongji University's (TJU) chemistry discipline continues to maintain its international ranking at 150, up 2 places from two months ago, entering the top 0.727‰ of the ESI ranking.
