Introduction

Biography:

Prof. Tao Liu obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Beihang University in 2008. He did his Master’s and Doctor’s degrees (2013) in the University of Cambridge, UK. During PhD, he focused his research on catalysis of small molecules on metal and semiconductor surfaces, under the supervisor of Prof. Sir David King and Prof. Stephen Jenkins. After that, he continued postdoctoral research in Prof. Clare Grey’s lab, working on electrocatalysis and batteries. He joined Tongji University at the end of 2018. Until now, he has published more than 30 papers, includingScience,Nature,Chemical Reviews,Nature Materials,Nature Communications,Journal of the American Chemical Society,Angewandte Chemie International Edition,Energy Environmental Science.

1. Fundamentals of oxygen electrocatalysis and its application in metal-air batteries and fuel cells

2. Material designs and applications of advanced flow batteries

3. Novel energy-dense, safe and high-power battery: material designs and device applications
